WEDDINGS...."It was a great pleasure to have you there to help us celebrate such a very special day in our lives. We hope you had a lovely time and enjoyed it as much as us! We couldn't have asked for anything more!" ...Kim & Kent Congratulations Everyone's wedding is an occasion that will provide memories that last an eternity. Speak to any couple that have been married for even over sixty years and they'll still be able to recall their special day and the ceremony that bound it all together. Your wedding ceremony deserves the intimate care that I can provide, to ensure the eternal memories are the ones that fill your heart with warmth and happiness. At our initial meeting, you will be provided with a few sample marriage ceremonies to look over and we can discuss what you'd like included in your celebration. As an authorised Celebrant, it is my role to ensure all the legal paperwork is correctly done and that the ceremony is legally performed in accordance with Australian law. All of your requirements and any likes or dislikes - providing we observe all legal requirements, will be considered.
After receiving your booking confirmation and deposit, you will then be emailed a rough draft to review and comment on. This usually takes a lot of feedback from both parties, and I have found email to be an invaluable tool for this very requirement. It's my aim for you to be totally happy with the end product, so you will not be limited to a particular number of communications. Around a week before the wedding, I will meet with you for a rehearsal of the ceremony (if required) either onsite or at home. That way everyone knows where they will be standing etc on the big day - and it also gives us an opportunity to iron out any changes / alterations etc if any. I have a PA system so everyone present will be able to hear your ceremony, as well as a table with white cloth and chair and a feather pen for use to sign the certificates.
After the ceremony, I will lodge your paperwork with the Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages and apply on your behalf to have your Standard Registered Marriage Certificate posted out to you - usually by around the time you return from your honeymoon. The RTA and the Passports Office as well as banks etc all require the "Registered" Marriage Certificate these days for you to change your name. This costs usually $46 but has been waived by the Registry office from Feb 2011 through to 14th Feb 2012. All feedback is important to me in the quest for constant improvement, so I will provide you with a feedback form (post ceremony) for your valuable comments. My ambition is to make your day truly wonderful.
