"..........Marriage, according to Australian Law, is the union of a man and woman, to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life...." (Marriage Act 1961)

These words have legal significance to couples getting married today, but unfortunately exclude some in our community. For couples who have found love and companionship and want to marry, but do not fit into the above legally recognised guidelines, I offer a Civil Commitment Ceremony. Unlike a wedding ceremony, it does not have legal recognition within Australia, but is a beautiful way to publicly declare your love and commitment to each other.

Just like a standard wedding, I can create a ceremony that can involve exchanging rings / vows and readings etc, but will not include any of the legally mandatory words or forms. At the end of the ceremony, I will have you and your witnesses sign a Commitment Certificate to commemorate the occasion.
